AUSTRALIAN PSYCHO

AUSTRALIAN IPA

The Australian Psycho was born to showcase the world class hops we grow here in Australia. With a 100% Australian hop bill, we can all be proud to know that this beer will stand up to any West Coast American IPA. This dry, aggressively bitter tropical fruit bowl is a god-send for hop heads but is a mainstream lager drinkers worst nightmare.

TASTING NOTES:

An aggressively bitter Australian Hopped IPA. Light orange in colour and slight hop haze. Bucket loads of Australian hops in the kettle then dry hopped twice with over half a kilo of hops per hectolitre. Hops Hops Hops. Clean, bitter with fresh tropical fruitiness.

DIRTY WORD

CRAFT LAGER

Lager has long been a dirty word in craft beer circles. They always said “lagers are boring, uninspiring, insipid and tasteless”. At Ballistic Beer Co. we couldn’t disagree more. To us a good lager screams cleanliness, moreishness and great balance. So we have gone about creating a beer to prove the lager haters wrong. There’s nowhere to hide here but we take on that challenge. Clean, crisp and refreshing may be the most cliché terms ever used to describe a beer but we can’t help the fact that they sum up DIRTY WORD LAGER perfectly.

TASTING NOTES:

A slightly hazy, straw coloured beer with a dense white foam. The aroma has a fresh fruitiness and spiciness derived from lashings of Nobel and new world hops late in the boil. The flavour shows a firm but delicate bitterness balanced by a dry graininess of traditional German Pilsner and Vienna malts.

PILOT LIGHT

TABLE BEER

Here at Ballistic Beer Co we love the idea of Table Beers. What is a Table Beer you ask? Well, a Table Beer is a lower alcohol beer originally brewed by the Belgians for the purpose of being served with food. We’ve taken this fantastic idea and put our own contemporary spin on it.

TASTING NOTES:

Don’t be fooled by the reference to Belgium though, it’s a long way from a Belgian beer. Rather, Pilot Light is lightly coloured and slightly hazy with a fresh pineapple, grapefruit and piney aroma.

THE GRANDFATHER

STRONG OAKED ALE

Inspired by his time living and brewing in the UK, Lachy, our Head Brewer, has gone about creating an English style Old Ale. Brewed with 6 different malts and aged on American Oak. We always imagined enjoying this smooth, complex, malt driven ale while lying on an animal skin rug next to an open fire in the middle of winter. But it turned out we liked it so much that we drink it all year round.

TASTING NOTES:

Deep copper to burnt red colours are complimented by a dense white head. Complex caramel, biscuit, toffee and vanilla flavours are balanced by a warming alcohol and firm bitterness. Malt driven and heart-warming.
