With a strong connection to Lachy’s hometown and WA Beer Week on the horizon, Ballistic Beer is making waves on the West Coast. Head brewer, Lachy Crothers has always had a strong tie to WA, it’s where he grew up. While he was living there, Lachy met Joel from The Dutch Trading Co (DTC) who used to serve him at his favourite bottle shop.

In August, Joel made a visit to the Ballistic Beer brewery. The Dutch Trading Co. is Perth’s home of Craft Beer and is one of Australia’s best beer venues. Located less than ten minutes from the Perth CBD, the Victoria Park venue rotates through 26 taps of the most interesting local, national, and international beers, not to mention over 300 unique bottles and cans on hand.

In 2018 the Dutch Trading Co. was rated as Australia’s Best Beer Venue by a panel of industry experts for the respected Beer & Brewer magazine. This follows placing 2nd in 2017 and 5th in 2016.

Ballistic Beer and DTC have joined forces to deliver a higher alcohol spin on a Belgian Table Beer which is dubbed Imperial Table Beer. This brew is a hybrid of sour and spice with peppery notes, a soft lemon and lime twist, and orange zest to finish. With an ABV of 7.0%, this powerful drop holds an unexpected softness and delicate flavour component with its IBU of 15 and 10 EBC. This beer contains pils, wheat, and acidulated malts, magnum hops and Belle Saison yeast.

In celebration of the release of Imperial Table Beer, DTC and Ballistic Beer will be showcasing the beer at Mane Liquor’s Carpark Party! The bottle shop legends will be celebrating 12 years in the booze game. Ballistic Beer will be one among many of the Mane favourites. Find out more!

Following on from the collaboration is WA Beer Week taking place from Friday 16th to Sunday 25th November. Making the most of it, Lachy will be venturing back to his roots to share the good word and beer of Ballistic. We’ve partnered with a few of WA’s best to show the West Coast what we’ve got.
