A few weeks ago we attended the 2022 Indie Beer Awards, hosted by the Australian Independent Brewers Association (IBA)  at the Felons Brewing precinct in Brisbane. We were excited and eager to see how our previously award winning beers would stack up against some of Australia’s best.

The Indie Beer Awards were first established in 2017 as a way of showcasing & celebrating the people and products of Australia’s evolving craft beer industry. Plenty of emotion & enthusiasm was on show during the night, with a healthy mix of up & coming breweries and industry stalwarts being given well deserved recognition.

On the night, Ballistic Beer took home 7 medals for our beers - a great result that reflects our brew team's hard work, enthusiasm & innovation over the year. 4 out of the 7 beers we received awards for are part of our Always Available range - which goes to show how accessible our beers can be. Considering that there were 201 lager & 269 pale ale entries in this year’s awards, we’re very proud to receive recognition of our standout brews!
Below is a list of awards that Ballistic Beer Received at the 2022 Indies.

Hats off also to our Southeast Queensland neighbours - Moffat Beach Brewing Co, for taking out a handful of major awards including Champion Medium Craft Brewery & Champion IPA. SEQLD breweries were well represented in the major award categories too - Congratulations also to Brouhaha, Madocke, & Range Brewing!

Receiving 7 medals for different Ballistic beers is a hard act for us to follow, and there’s no doubt that the Ballistic team will have their work cut out to aim for even more medals in the 2023 Indie Awards! Over the next twelve months we look forward to raising the bar and bringing you more award winning brews.
