Let us introduce you to Jake Harrison, our Assistant Brewer! This weekend celebrates the launch of Jake's first Ballistic Beer, the Renegade Saison, so we thought it was time to introduce you to one the many faces behind Ballistic Beer Co.
After almost a decade working as an Environmental Science Consultant Jake was ready for a new challenge. His home brewing hobby turned into a full blown obsession very quickly. One thing lead to another and he ended up at Ballistic!
Jake's pick of the Ballistic beers is the Australian Psycho IPA. "I love IPAs but this beer sits in its own space when compared to many other commercial IPA examples. I love the combination of the robust malt profile and big punchy Australian hops. It's a bold yet balanced IPA that has some really unique flavour profiles."
His all-time favourite beer is a Saison Dupont, "Its my fav for a few reasons. It's simple in design but complex in character. The flavour profile is epic - spicy citrus notes layered over a simple pilsner base. It's got such a long history and has been brewed by five generations of the same family. It's elegant, beautiful and consistent. A classic."
